Long before Okipe existed, one remarkable woman opened her heart to children who had nowhere else to go.
That woman is Mme Soliette.
Over the years, what began as a home for vulnerable children has grown into a place of safety, belonging and opportunity for dozens of children.
Recognising that many local families simply couldn't afford to send their children to school, Mme Soliette also established a community school, giving many more children the opportunity to learn and flourish.
Today, the home and the school work hand in hand.
One provides the security of family.
The other opens the door to opportunity.
Together, they are helping create a place where children can belong, be cared for, learn, grow and look towards the future with hope.
